Meditate on 2 Timothy 2:22–26.
In that passage, it is assumed that quarrels are something to avoid. Paul gave Timothy additional commandments on how to avoid such undesired activities. However, in the twenty-first century, it seems that quarrels are the end goal for many endeavors.
Our policy includes deliverance of the truth in love. We desire to avoid quarrels, since the Lord’s bond-servant must not be quarrelsome. We aim to be like Jesus, as we hope you do too. Here are our requests:
- Let’s pursue God’s truth together.
- Love God with all. Love your neighbor as yourself.
- Challenge the argument, not the person.
Let’s study through our questions, conclusions, and disagreements in love.

Truth is the content. Love is the delivery.
