This copyright statement applies to all documents, articles, videos, and electronic files distributed through websites owned and controlled by Topical Bible Studies (hereinafter “TBS”), including topicalbiblestudies.com (hereinafter “Website”).
The mission of TBS is a teaching ministry specifically aimed at helping every person establish a strong legacy of faith in their family, to answer difficult Bible questions with confidence, refute religious error with grace and precision, and equip the body of Christ for seeking the lost.
All documents, articles, images, PDFs, physical and digital books, and all other electronic files distributed through the Website are copyrighted. All rights are reserved. Some images and videos have been licensed for free or at a cost through services like Unsplash and Artgrid.
You do not have permission to take work from this website and use it in any way that harms the mission (as defined above), intentionally or unintentionally, or in any way that diminishes the TBS’s ability to control the distribution, content, and presentation of its teaching efforts.
TBS reserves the right to revoke any permission previously granted for republication at any time and for any reason.
TBS is the only party that may grant permission to reproduce our content. Contributing authors may not grant republication rights for any content appearing on this website or published through any other media without the express written approval of TBS unless otherwise agreed to by TBS and the author of the content.
Individuals may be granted limited permission to print, copy, and distribute articles appearing on this website under the following guidelines:
Attribution is required.
You must credit the original author and include the original URL in the document. An active link to the original source MUST BE INCLUDED if permission is granted for online publication.
No commercial works or mass duplication.
You may not use content owned or controlled by TBS for any commercial purposes without advanced written permission from TBS.
Commercial purposes include the following:
- Reproduction for any commercial purpose
- Publication in any commercially produced form, whether or not the end product will be sold or given away. This includes printing in physical form or adding TBS’s content to a website or other internet-based content management system you control.
- Any means of production by which more than fifty copies of any single copyrighted work are produced to be distributed personally to individuals with whom you have a direct teaching/study relationship.
- Any means of reproduction by which a collection of more than five individual copyrighted works in any quantity are produced.
In other words, you can make up to fifty copies of a single article to hand out in a classroom situation or for friends, family, etc. Or you can copy and give a personal acquaintance a collection of articles not exceeding five at a time.
Additionally, churches may reprint articles in church bulletins that are distributed to members as long as attribution requirements are met, and no edits or alterations are made.
You may not post our content on a website or online content management system that you own or control. You may share direct links that point to original TBS content to social media, but you may not copy and paste the body of our content into your statuses, stories, videos, etc. Online republication is prima facie mass duplication and may negatively impact this website’s teaching mission in several ways, including but not limited to search engine duplication penalties.
To obtain permission for reproduction exceeding these limits, please send an official request to email@example.com.
No alteration allowed.
You may not alter, transform, or otherwise edit the content published on this website. A reprinted article may be split into successive publications if such is required due to space limitations. However, such should be clearly indicated within the publication.
No Derivative Works are allowed.
You may not alter, transform, or build upon the content on this website to produce new content.
Examples of derivative works include anthologies, collections of essays, copying content without citation, and republication of articles on other websites or social media not owned and controlled by TBS.
In other words, you can quote and reference TBS’s content in your original publications as a supporting source or in a critical review. All such use should follow ethical standards of citation.
Please do not take an article, rearrange the paragraphs, or put together collections of articles incorporating our content into your creation without permission.
Translations are allowed.
You may translate content from this website into languages other than English if all other terms and conditions are observed.
If the content being translated will be republished in any commercially reproduced form, whether or not the end product will be sold or given away (including but not limited to not-for-profit websites or other electronic media), you must obtain prior written permission at least 45 days before proposed publication. To request permission, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Do not submit permission requests through social media or any other form.
Any of these conditions may be waived by written consent from TBS.
None of these terms or conditions in any way affect your fair-use rights under U.S. copyright law.
